And I think Kristen Wiig steals the show with her small yet hysterical role as one of the workers at E!. Dialog is always clean, clear and undistorted. Ben does not use a condom and eight weeks later, Allison discovers that she is pregnant. With Allison's harried sister Debbie and hen-pecked brother-in-law Pete the only parenting role models the young lovers have, things get even more confusing. Now I am going to be honest, I would not have gone to the theater to see this movie.
I guess this is better than some of the titles I have reviewed which had very little or no extras at all. I'm sure people will love it. Paul Rudd shines here and steals all the scenes he is in. I saw the 129 min theatrical version the 1st time around and the 133 min version on the blu-ray the 2nd. Watch it on date night or without the kids home because there is some swearing, some nudity, and lots of pot. Ben does not use condom and eight weeks later, Allison discovers that she is pregnant.
I had such fond memories of the theatrical version, it was such a funny movie. Ben realizing he is going to be a father has absolutely no idea of what to do. Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen are in top form as their lives are forever altered. But it gets seriously derailed when a drunken one-nighter with slacker Ben Stone results in an unwanted pregnancy. Knocked Up, on the other hand, uses its set up and continues the story throughout the film, developing its characters. A couple of drinks and one wild night later, they've got nine confusing months to figure it out.
And Katherine Heigl is equally entertaining. Definitely recommend this to anyone who's had a one nighter or just needs a really good laugh!! It is not a message film by any means but it manages to spread a good positive vein about life and its complications. When you combine the yellow tilt with the hot contrast, highlights look flat, lack detail and depth as well. They agree to meet, and Alison delivers the news to a startled, and slightly angry Ben. We don't have to go outside or anything. Afraid to handle this by herself, Alison calls Ben to tell him the news. Seth Rogen does an excellent job, I'm glad he's been given the chance to be the lead in such a big film.
Upon seeing the previews, I was sure this was just another chick flick put on film. » Ben Stone Seth Rogen meets Alison Scott Katherine Heigl at a bar, they get drunk and have a little fun afterward, then they part ways. Available individually or as part of the 'Ultimate Unrated. Courting a woman you've just Knocked Up, however, proves to be a little difficult when the two try their hands at dating. Well, for slacker Ben Seth Rogen and career girl Alison Katherine Heigl , that's certainly the case - at least for one intoxicated evening.
While Knocked Up is not quite my taste, I highly recommend it to those who are fans of either Judd Apatow movies, or enjoy Seth Rogen's humor. Some new release movies become unavailable for downloading for a limited time due to licensing restrictions. This is also a hilarious documentary type extra that I found just a bit on the long side, but funny nevertheless. Seth Rogan is terrific, but so is Catherine Heigel, Paul Rudd, and everyone in the big supporting cast. Story line is pretty basic. What makes a happy lifetime partnership after all? She calls Ben and they decide to try to stay together and have the baby.
Product Description The writer and director of The 40-Year-Old Virgin delivers another a hilarious hit comedy! Seth Rogan and Katherine Heigl are amazing in this gut busting show about life's little mishaps. I will say this though, some the extras on this disc are way over the top for this title, and there inclusion was just not necessary in many cases. For me it was not. For more about Knocked Up and the Knocked Up Blu-ray release, see published by Sir Terrence on October 9, 2008 where this Blu-ray release scored 3. You can Watch Now or Download the video to a , except for Pay-Per-View videos. Riding on a string of similar but successful low budget flicks, Apatow has managed once again to prove that his formula of movie making natural simplistic approach can actually be quite successful. Truly wish it was included in Prime membership since I bought the movie once, but good enough movie to spend money on again.
Debbie leaves the place but Allison stays with Ben, drinking and dancing along all night; completely wasted, they end up having a one night stand. We're not prudes if that's what you're thinking--it just wasnt as funny. This simple story makes up the hilarious film Knocked Up. Blacks are solid and stable, but contrast is a bit on the hot side but not intensely so. Alison meets the pothead reckless Ben Stone and while having a small talk with Ben, Debbie's husband Pete calls her to tell that their daughter has chicken pox. Though I found this to be pretty good, the emphasis on the juvenile jokes was just a bit much for my taste. I highly recommend the blu ray version of this film as well as the film itself.
