Out of date Norton Internet Security knocking about from purchase date. Please do not attach the scan results from Combofx. It crashed, plus I found its only for spyware on Windows 7. I ran a scan on it which moved soooooo incredibly slowing I stopped it. The file will not be moved unless listed separately.

I crashed and started in safe Mode with Networking and ran a scan but then read from here that I shouldn't run the scan in Safe Mode so I shutdown and started it in normal mode and did a smart scan this time! I'm not entirely sure when the problem became resolved as I've not run a full scan since 2 weeks ago, but it completes the full scan now without any issues. As near as I can figure so far. Below is the new combofix log but just a note, like last time it still claims that Avast was enabled even though I've made sure everything was disabled. It is just a long slow process to reload windows if you have a disc full of audio, video, photo files etc because to ensure you don't lose them you have to copy them somewhere , reload windows and then copy them back. If your operating system and other drivers are older and outdated, they may be causing Norton to freeze as it attempts to scan the system.
