For literally decades, the Oscar nominees for Best Song included one standard after another, whether or not any individual song brought home the trophy. Eminem gives a compelled, powerful performance that diverges just enough from his public self to inject the story with a strong sense of realism without sacrificing anything artistically. Which is a very material lifestyle. In this movie Eminem carries the expression of sheer imminence, raw potential, to a new level of clarity and confidence. Eminem proves here that he really can act and in fact may have a future in motion pictures. I have a list of grievances that people need to realize about Eminem: - First of all, do not disrespect this man. It's his ability to control his anger that makes both Rabbit and Eminem winners.
Of course, 8 Mile isn't really a musical, though music is part and parcel of its fabric. As most of you already have heard, this movie was based on Eminem's life, but none of the events are actually factual. Many of us are content to live within these borders--others are simply forced to exist within them. Both are delicious but primed for rejection. If you actually listened to some of his songs, you'll realize that he is a very distraught young person with a lot to say. But those who say Eminem is sanitized here for mall viewing have an odd notion of language.
The problem is that people today are just too biased when it comes to people like Eminem. The film also has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time. Every minute and every second, the cast's intensity never gives up, and the camera never sleeps. I'm sure that we can expect to be seeing a lot more of him later on. Jimmy is the butt of harassment from a black rapping clique, and it's almost comical to see typical gang behavior come down to who can spit out the most inventive rhymes at club showdowns. Brittany Murphy acts as his love interest, but most importantly his muse. Though there were notable exceptions to the decline in Best Song nominees post-1970, including the wonderfully pretty Disney trifecta of the 1990s, things had gotten positively odd by the advent of the 21st century.

If not for who he is, then you wouldn't pay too much attention to his acting because that's how competent he does.
