It stalls while you are driving and its a very scary situation. Turn truck off and restarts fine. If any one has any other ideas would love to hear the solution. Was back at dealer for 2 days then my husband drives it back on and light is on again and vehicle is shaking. The check engine light was also on and the engine was running rough. I took the truck from the dealer and while leaving, the the symptoms started again. It actually went to a total stop and would not move forward at all.
I have a 2008 enclave that I bought new…. I was about 20 min from the dealer near work so I put my hazards on, kept driving and called the dealer very pissed of telling him that I am on my way again. I am so done with this car! Almost went off the road at 55mph. My prior 2001 Silverado with the 4. It was all good until last night when the samething happened again. The approximate failure mileage was 69,999.
We received a recall notice about this issue and took the vehicle in to the dealer. The car has been taken to a local repair shop to address the issue. This is the third time it has been to the dealership and the third time i have had to take time off work for a new truck? The raction control and vehicle stabilization were both knocked off line. Funny thing is, my husband bought a 2011 Silverado 1500 and in 2 months his did exactly the same thing a year ago. Currently at the dealer for the past 2 days. A warning came on saying that I needed my Stability Serviced. If these parts are all interchangeable does it not stand to reason that those issues would be across the board? Needless to say, I called the service and sales managers to see what they can do for me.
Why the loss of power??? The instrument panel failed and the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. Dealer stated that it was a bad transmission computer and would need to be replaced. Made it to the side of the road barely. I am going to take off tomorrow and go to the dealer. Traction control and service stabilitrac light comes on constantly since the 70,000 mile range and getting more frequent. I will keep track of everything that happens and the invoices when I take the car in. I'm not happy and hope the dealership is able to remedy this issue, for her , in a timely manner , but I still needed to post a notice to this site.
Will monitor this situation closely! Dealer will not cover this key safety component failure. If I do, I will post it on this message board. I had this done, and when I picked it up the next morning, when I drove it, the Stabilitrak light came back on again. I need to have both problems corrected. I took it back and they told me it was the cam shaft and fuel sensors and system. These issues can be so dangerous if you are at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The failure mileage was 32,000. I spent so much on changing the bulbs and that was not the problem. Seems this issue has been a recurring model issue since 2010. Checked battery but seems to be ok, checked fuse box and the entire fuse box is loose, the hold down screws in the fuse box appear to be stripped and will not tighten, shimmed the box to the frame to prevent it from shaking around in the engine compartment. Had you filed within the statute of limitations, you would have most likely received thousands back under breach of warranty.
Dealer advised of additinal fees to diagnose the issue. I have reached out to the attorney general they have suggested to contact a lawyer. You stop the vehile let it sit for a brief minute and it will start up and drive normal. If not call yhem back?? Time to choose another manufacturer. We have 2 2011 Expressway Vans. Inside, seating is trimmed in perforated leather and both front seats are heated and cooled. I immediately contacted by service manager at the car dealer where I purchased and explained what had just happened.
Very dangerous since no one can tell when I am slowing down. Why does this keep having to be replaced and I have to pay? Car barely makes turn into the parking lot. I submitted an inquiry via corporate gm. Anyway we went to an independent mechanic and they thought we should change the spark plugs and we had a coil out. First service stated the fuel cap was not on correctly.
