The Dodge Caravan, like most vehicles, has a transmission cooling radiator, with lines that run from the transmission to the radiator and back. Apparently the guy who took my pan off back when I had them change the filter, fluid, and gasket was unable to pull the pan off, so he used a crowbar and bent the pan in the corner it's leaking from. Did you lubericate the lip on the new seal when you installed the converter? Maybe the man had a bad day and seeing something about a 'black guy' pissed him off. Thanks Dustin Ok with the tranny, its leaking in the same spot it has been leaking the whole time, between the engine block and tranny, but I dont know where thats the problem. But if you own a 98 Dodge Dakota have your ball joints checked they are a hazard and someone is going to get killed, if they already have not. The tail shaft wouldn t spin. It was just cold, cold, cold. Might not need a rebuild. However, all mechanical parts eventually wear out, and the transmission in a Doge Caravan is no different.

There is a pan on the underside of the transmission which is removable to change the transmission filter. Open the driver side door and look at the left side of the driver side dashboard. I bet you have a confederate flag in your yard. When new, a Dodge Caravan transmission should not leak. Not an auto repair expert? You need to make sure that you mix it before you put it in the radiator otherwise you will just get a lot of bubbles. Check the bolts on the front of the pan. Also when I replaced the front transmission pump, the transmission wouldn t spin when it was suppose to be in neutral.
